The Ideas Digital Forum 2018 will be held at The Robert McLaughlin Gallery in Oshawa, Ontario. The RMG is approximately an hour away from Toronto and located within a short distance of Oshawa Station and Highway 401. The RMG is a fully accessible facility. Driving Directions

From Toronto and Other Cities West of Toronto:

  1. Take 401 East to Oshawa, exit Simcoe Street North.
  2. Simcoe Street exit requires a left turn from stop sign into Left Hand turn lane.
  3. Turn left at lights, you are now heading North on Simcoe Street. Follow to Bagot Street.
  4. Turn left at Bagot, two blocks to Gallery. Parking is available on site, and is free after 6pm on weekdays and on weekends.

From Kingston and Other Cities East of Oshawa:

  1. Take 401 West to Oshawa.
  2. Exit at Simcoe Street. This exit requires you follow the exit street (Drew) to the lights at Drew & McNaughton Avenue.
  3. Turn left at McNaughton and follow to Simcoe Street. Turn right (north) at Simcoe Street follow to Bagot Street.
  4. Turn left on Bago Street, drive 2 blocks to the Gallery. Parking is available on site, and is free after 6pm on weekdays and on weekends.

Public Transit Information

From Toronto Union Station (GO Train and Bus):

  1. Take the Lakeshore East Go Train to Oshawa Station / Oshawa Bus Terminal.
  2. The train will take you to the Oshawa Train Station where a bus will be waiting for you to transfer (GO Bus 90 to Newcastle); this bus will deliver you to the Bus Terminal in Downtown Oshawa at the corner of Centre Street & Bond Street. Alternately, Oshawa cabs are usually waiting at the station and it is only a 5-10 min drive to the Gallery.
  3. Walk 2 blocks south on Centre Street to Bagot Street, turn right and you will see the Gallery. Complete trip takes about 1 hour to 1.5 hours.

From Toronto York Mills / Yorkdale Mall (GO Bus):

  1. Take the Hwy 2 GO Bus Route (GO Bus 92). This bus has stops at Yorkdale Mall, York Mills, Scarborough Town Centre, Ajax GO Station, and more.
  2. Bus will deliver you to Oshawa Bus Terminal at Centre Street & Bond Street.
  3. Walk 2 blocks south on Centre Street to Bagot Street, turn right and you will see the Gallery. Complete trip takes about 1 hour to 1.5 hours, depending on time of day/traffic.

From Kingston and other cities East of Oshawa (VIA Rail and GO Bus):

  1. Take the VIA Rail train to Oshawa Train Station (trains coming from Montreal and Ottawa will both stop in Oshawa).
  2. The train will take you to the Oshawa Train Station to transfer to a bus (GO Bus 90 to Newcastle); this bus will deliver you to the Bus Terminal in Downtown Oshawa at the corner of Centre Street & Bond Street. Alternately, Oshawa cabs are usually waiting at the station and it is only a 5-10 min drive to the Gallery.
  3. Walk 2 blocks south on Centre Street to Bagot Street, turn right and you will see the Gallery.
